The Will Read (and sing) For Food players will hold a public performance to benefit Anderson Woods, a private, not-for-profit corporation chartered to provide summer camp experiences, as well as other services, for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.
The 90-minute show is Thursday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m., at Klubhaus 61 in Jasper.
Will Read and Sing For Food offers a unique blend of humor essays and live music. Since their first show in Oct. 2011, they have played for hundreds of people and have raised $30,400 for various community charities through 52 performances.
Featured performers for the Anderson Woods show include humor essayist Scott Saalman and musicians Ed Walston, Jessi Fulcher, Kyle Lueken, Rob Zaricki and Sisters of Second Avenue.
Admission: Suggested $10 minimum per person. Appetizers and drinks can also be purchased (starting at 6:15). The performers volunteer their time. All proceeds from the show will aid Anderson Woods.
