Aug. 10 show to feature Kelly Craig Schaefer, benefit Ferdinand Folk Festival
Local writer and teacher Kelly Craig Schaefer is once again joining the Will Read and Sing For Food players to read excerpts from her memoir, Fractured Not Broken. The show, open to the public, will be Monday, Aug. 10, 7 p.m., at Klub Haus 61. It will benefit the Ferdinand Folk Festival. The show will also feature humor essays by Scott Saalman and music by Megan Gatwood, Carley Knapp, Kyle Lueken, Debbie Schuetter and Mark Steczyk. Appetizers and a cash bar are also available. Admission: $10 or more per person, with all proceeds going to the Ferdinand Folk Festival, Sept. 19. Such fundraisers help keep the Ferdinand Folk Festival free to the public. Schaefer will sell and sign her popular book after the 90-minute show. Questions, contact Saalman at 812-827-9911.
